Best Buddies' participants with disabilities and their speech coaches start their day of learning at the 2nd Annual Best Buddies Delaware BUILD Training. |
On Saturday, February 20th 2010, Best Buddies Delaware inducted thirteen individuals into our Buddy Ambassador program through our BUILD training that was held at the Girl Scouts Inc. in Newark, Delaware.
Buddies United in Leadership Development (BUILD) is a unique and developing program within Best Buddies that is dedicated to training people with intellectual disabilities to be leaders in their communities and give speeches about the Best Buddies mission.
As an official Buddy Ambassador, our graduates can use their skills in a variety of ways including co-hosting local events, record public service announcements for local radio stations, speak at public forms, and more.
Congratulations to our new Buddy Ambassadors: Elizabeth Nolan, Philip Kaslow, Laura Kelly, Caitlin Coughlan, Tommy Fields, Tina Fields, Grant Hill, Chainney Tucker, Joseph Walker, Jessica Vale, Renee Brokenbrough, Christina Lake, John Robertson.
